    $Apex Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center is a rapidly growing, skincare facility that empowers employees to deliver exceptional patient experiences. Apex MOHS Medical Assistants are responsible for assisting with surgical procedures involving the removal of skin cancers and other skin tumors in a surgical setting as well as administrative tasks. Ideal candidates are certified in Medical Assisting This is a full-time hourly position located at one of our eleven locations throughout Northeast Ohio but does require travel.
    HR Employee Introduction Video V5 Shorter version.
    Certification in Medical Assisting or Licensed Practical Nurse
    Experience using an Electronic Medical Records system (EMR)
    Knowledge of medical terminology and experience taking vital signs
    Must be able to travel to various Apex Skin locations on a regular basis
    Required Tuberculosis testing and Flu vaccination documentation.
    Performs initial patient assessment, evaluation, and health survey data
    Prepping room, instruments, and patient for surgery or biopsies
    Assist during surgeries by administering anesthesia, handoff instruments & cut sutures
    Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining patient consent and maintaining records and documentation

    Performs clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments and follow-up appointments, maintaining and following up with patient biopsy results, answering phones, and scanning documents into the EMR.

    Monitor and complete lab documents, biopsy and culture book, telephone encounters, and team task box within the EMR.
    Maintains nursing practice consistent with OSHA, HIPPA, QA safety regulations.
    Assists with autoclave procedures and quality controls.

    Paid Training
    Monday through Friday Schedule (half Saturday once a month at some locations)
