    Description
    Insight Global is looking to hire a Sr. Linux Systems Engineer for one of our largest media entertainment clients. This is an 18-month contract with possibility of extension hybrid in Burbank, CA.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Expertise in Linux, MacOS engineering and administration in a professional environment important; expert Linux
    • High performance storage solutions (Quantum, Avid, Isilon)
    • Advanced experience in virtualization and VMware vSphere.
    • Experience with Scripting and Automation (BASH, Python*, etc.)
    • Configuration management solutions and experience managing infrastructure as code
    :

    Ansible and/or Terraform)

    • IP networking including performancebased troubleshooting
    • Data Center Operations, Power Management, Elevations
    • AWS experience
    :

    create instance(VM; storage tiers; how you assign)

    • This role is on site on the studio lots at least 5 days/week, once the resource is acclimated there is flexibility to be onsite 4 days per week.
    Nice to Have Skills & Experience

    • Configuration management solutions and experience managing infrastructure as code
    (ex:

    bash, ansible, terraform)

    • Media File Transport Solutions (e.g. Signiant, Aspera) big plus
    • Data center, network, and application architectures
    • Knowledge in Container Platforms (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
    • Experience with Post Production Software and Tools (e.g. Resolve, Baselight, Avid, Colorfront, etc.)
    Compensation

    :

    $70-80/hr.

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.


    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.

    Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
