    We are excited to announce a career opportunity for a Senior Material Planner in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, supporting the Common Hardware Systems - 6th Generation (CHS-6) IDIQ in support of the U.S.

    Army, DoD and Federal government programs and agencies where Leidos provides seamless and consolidated procurement of Commercial Information Technology (CommIT).

    The Material Project Manager (MPM) will analyze purchasing data and manage Blanket Purchase Agreement Bills of Materials (BOM). Additionally, the MPM is responsible for supplier relationship management, supplier negotiation, and establishing and monitoring managerial metrics. The MPM is responsible for all activities associated with researching and recommending cost effective purchase arrangements.

    The MPM works closely with the Program Leadership and Material Planners to ensure the review of material requirements for clarity, compliance, detail, completeness, regulatory compliance and obtain additional information considered necessary.

    Due to nature of assignments, up to 10% travel is possible. Working onsite as needed during a steady state for interface with PMO and Customer.

    Primary Responsibilities
    Serves as primary materials supply chain POC for interaction with numerous HW, SW, & Cyber manufacturers and technical teams within Leidos
    Material Schedule management and developing supply chain strategies
    Ability to prioritize certain deliveries to ensure production schedule is operating smoothly
    Conduct data analytics and analyze large data sets to establish Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Bills of Materials
    Manage BPA requirements, demand forecasting, and collaborate with Finance on tracking overall material budget
    Review and approve Purchase Card transactions reports
    Work amongst a matrixed organization support engineering, program management, and financial functions
    Collaborate with management to plan forecasting models and identify supply needs according to the SLAs stipulated in the contract
    Provide innovative technical solutions and sourcing strategies that drive down cost (market research, engaging with Category Managers/Supplier Relationship Managers, etc.)
    Have job responsibilities associated with Supplier Management, Program Strategy Development, Program Material Acquisition, Business Process Re-Engineering, and Procurement Tool deployments
    This individual should be a self-starter and someone that is flexible and is able to work independently at a higher level

    Basic Qualifications
    US Citizen
    BA degree and 8+years in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.

    MBA or MS and 6+ years of related experience
    3+ years of applicable supply chain experience acquired from working at Leidos, or in government and commercial defense markets
    Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and related systems along with material procurement
    Requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities to understand and facilitate complex supply chain decision-making
    Strong attention to detail
    Strong project management skills
    Proven ability to be a self-starter and quick learner, capable of supporting efforts to achieve goals
    Excellent written and oral communications skills at all levels both internally and externally with customers and suppliers
    Excellent risk management methodologies
    Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations and program levels simultaneously with minimal supervision
    High level of proficiency in MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
    Basic understanding of creating complex solicitations, supporting proposals, conducting moderate complexity price and cost analysis, negotiating price/cost and price/cost-related terms
    Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work under tight time constraints

    Preferred Qualifications
    Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one is required
    Supplier relationship management experience
    Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
    PowerBI experience
    Understanding of US Government acquisition laws and regulations (FAR)


    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $84, $152,750.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

    Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
