    Description

    Intermediate Architectural Designer/ACE, NY, NY:
    Work directly under firm's partners/senior licensed architects on projects of all scales to design/plan for multiple building types, lead Digital Collaboration Process & produce/coordinate architectural construction documents; Manage overall project through all design phases, including client interaction/schedule/financial performance; Act independently regarding architectural methods/complexities & serve as a key link between design & documentation; Research project requirements & conduct programming/zoning/building code analysis to establish project paraments/site drivers; Construct scaled physical models in various media using hand-crafted practices & 3D printed methodologies; Manage/generate details & material specifications for exterior/interior; Manage parametric development of design concept, including deciding best strategy for creating/maintaining file types, ensuring a seamless transition between visualization & analytically focused computational modeling tools & collaborating with team members between different models; Prepare project's digital environment for deliverables, direct workflows/plans & perform consultant BIM coordination sessions as required; Conduct on-site observation of work to monitor compliance with contract documents & resolve key constructability issues through revised drawings


    Req:

    Master of Architecture.

    In-depth knowledge of architecture principles/practices/strategic planning/project management related to design/documentation; Advanced architectural design/drafting techniques & graphic representation with computational/parametric literacy; Highly specialized skills in visual interpretive physical model making/fabrication (handcrafting/laser cutting/3D printing) & technical writing; Proficient in Revit/AutoCAD/Rhino/Enscape/Vray/BlueBeam/Grasshopper/Sketchup/Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator/Premier/After Effects).

    $87,000 - $92,000/year.
