- Student Impact Innovation Lab Student Impact Innovation Lab
As an Embedded Software Engineer at the Student Impact Innovation Lab (SIIL) in Brooklyn, New York, I have been actively involved in the development of a handheld device that utilizes Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) technology. The primary goal of this device is to enable accurate and efficient non-invasive detection of skin abnormalities, with a particular focus on enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of skin cancer screening.
In this role, I have been responsible for devising a system within the handheld device that effectively measures skin impedance, detects abnormalities, and seamlessly relays the collected data to a web application for further analysis. This system plays a crucial role in improving the overall accuracy and efficiency of the screening process.
Additionally, I have been involved in handling frequency sweep procedures and conducting complex calculations of impedance magnitude and phase. These procedures are essential in ensuring the accurate detection of skin tissue abnormalities.
Working on this project has allowed me to combine my skills in embedded software engineering with my passion for healthcare innovation. It has been an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a device that can potentially make a significant impact on skin cancer screening and early detection, ultimately improving patient outcomes. As an Embedded Software Engineer at the Student Impact Innovation Lab (SIIL) in Brooklyn, New York, I have been actively involved in the development of a handheld device that utilizes Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) technology. In this critical role at MERIIT Lab, I was fortunate to work alongside a diverse and highly skilled team of 10 experts. We collaborated on the development of a groundbreaking project: the Smart Wearable Bio-Tracker for TeleRehab & TeleMonitoring (GY). Our aim was to design a wearable device that utilized non-invasive muscle signal decoding, thereby assisting individuals with physical or neurological impairments.
One of my key contributions was employing sMMG to capture myoelectric muscle signals. This cutting-edge technology allowed us to predict hand gestures and movements. The resulting real-time feedback was personalized for each individual, fostering a more inclusive and accessible solution for rehabilitation and monitoring.
In addition, I played a pivotal role in augmenting the wireless transmission capabilities of the device. By integrating User Datagram Protocol (UDP) and IoT, I successfully increased the transmission speed from 50Hz to 2000Hz. This greatly enhanced the device's performance and the user's experience, providing faster and more efficient feedback.Project: Smart Wearable Bio-Tracker for TeleRehab & TeleMonitoring (GY) In this critical role at MERIIT Lab, I was fortunate to work alongside a diverse and highly skilled team of 10 experts. - Software Engineer
During my internship, I had the opportunity to contribute to the development of an Android Studio application for a bartender dispenser. The primary objective was to enable precise cocktail mixing. I played a key role in building the application and designing an intuitive user interface (UI) that offered streamlined drink selection, customizable cocktail options, and flexible beverage size choices.
To support the application's functionalities, I also worked on creating a MySQL database using the Django Framework and Python. This database was instrumental in facilitating various essential features, including list management, search capabilities, filtering options, and efficient data lookup.
Throughout the internship, I gained hands-on experience in developing an Android application, UI design, and utilizing database technologies to enhance functionality. It was an enriching opportunity to contribute to a real-world project and further develop my skills in software development and database management.During my internship, I had the opportunity to contribute to the development of an Android Studio application for a bartender dispenser.
