- Prepare estimates for potential projects using hard-bid, design-build, conceptual estimating
- Read and understand contract documents, plans, and specifications
- Issues RFI to architects, engineers, and owners addressing any questions or concerns
- Perform quantity take-offs, organizes and prices information
- Solicit bids, quotes and schedules from subcontractors and suppliers
- Communicate with sub-contractors and suppliers to clarify pricing
- Prepare estimate formats in such areas as general conditions, general bidding, quantity takeoffs and bid analysis
- Assist with the preparation of bid proposal for submittal
- Prepare outline schedules for proposed projects
- Assist with training and mentoring team members in estimating tasks and duties
- Follow awarded projects throughout its lifecycle
- Perform various duties as assigned or required when necessary
- Results-driven, with strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Self-driven, proactive, and naturally resourceful
- Effective gathering information,
- Four-year degree from an accredited university with construction or engineering concentrations or equivalent education is preferred
- 7 or more years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor, or experience in medical/hospital construction preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally and nationwide, up to 25% travel time

What We're Looking For:
An experienced Estimator with commercial construction experience, especially within healthcare projects. Someone who enjoys a variety of project types and locations, including daily interaction with the project team, owners, architects, vendors, and subcontractors during bid and throughout the project when necessary. A Senior Estimator who wants a unique experience of the full construction process would be an ideal fit.
