    Job Description

    Salary: $15-16 per hour depending on experience


    Hours:

    • Flexible shift hours available, whether you prefer day shifts or night shifts.

    Job Purpose:

    • Oversee clients and enforce therapeutic community guidelines and boundaries.
    • Act as a positive role model for clients.
    • Engage in various activities and group sessions.
    • Lead therapeutic community groups.
    • Participate in both on and off-campus recreational activities.
    • Attend professional meetings, training sessions, and staffings.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage the environment in which clients reside.
    • Supervise and interact with clients during their waking hours.
    • Ensure that living conditions meet licensing standards.
    • Implement and monitor program activities to maintain a consistent therapeutic impact.
    • Apply behavioral management techniques and prevent the need for therapeutic holding procedures.
    • Transport clients to various locations as needed.
    • Support clients in completing homework assignments.
    • Participate in meetings to discuss individual client progress.
    • Assist with recreational activities as directed.
    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the unit.
    • Administer medication under supervision from a healthcare professional.
    • Assist clients with shopping, recreation planning, and daily tasks.
    • Monitor and report on clients' progress within the facility.
    • Teach clients life skills and ensure their safety and well-being.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience: 1 year of experience in young adult treatment or caregiving preferred. CPR and first aid certification required.
    • Knowledge: Understanding of behavioral/psychological theory, treatment approaches, and experience in outdoor education/recreation.

    Working Conditions:

    • Primary work setting is within the facility, with occasional off-site activities.
    • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to move comfortably and communicate effectively during various tasks. Adequate visual acuity is necessary to observe and engage with clients.
