- Ensure compliance with juvenile product regulatory standards through product testing, documentation, certification, and correction of non-compliance findings
- Monitor adherence to standards and regulations throughout the product development process by identifying and addressing safety concerns, training others on standards and test procedures, and conducting hands-on testing and demonstration of requirements
- Schedule product testing, establish test requirements and quality plans, and ensure execution to set standards
- Document and analyze test results, communicate recommendations, and interact with external labs on interpretation of findings
- Investigate and perform root cause analysis on safety-related issues, developing corrective and preventive measures to mitigate risks
- Support customer service team by reviewing consumer feedback and product returns, identifying areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance and quality considerations into business processes and product development
- Review and approve all instruction manuals, warning labels, and other product safety documentation
- Review and approve marketing content, including packaging, internet statements, videos, etc.
- Initiate internal and factory level product audits to ensure adherence to regulations and standards
- Serve as primary contact for external regulatory agencies and certifying bodies (CPSC, JMPA), auditors, or other external stakeholders on compliance and quality matters
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards affecting our industry, ensuring timely adjustments to compliance practices
- BS degree in engineering required. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 7+ years of work experience in product development, compliance, or quality in the consumer goods industry
- In-depth knowledge and application of juvenile product standards and requirements (ASTM, CPSC, NHTSA)
- Understanding of the product development process with knowledge of the materials used in the manufacturing of juvenile products.
- Knowledge of quality systems, data analysis and documentation practices
- Knowledge of tooling, injection molding, and plastics
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies and propose effective solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including report writing, presentation skills, and communicating technical information to people with diverse backgrounds
- Strong aptitude for mechanical analysis and hands-on assessment of products
- Proven problem-solving skills and root cause analysis abilities
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize projects and deadlines

Artsana USA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Artsana Sp.A., a premier Italian juvenile products brand and one of Europe's largest producers of infant and juvenile Chicco brand baby products, seeks a detailed-oriented and experienced Compliance & Quality Manager to oversee the Company's adherence to internal and external juvenile product regulatory standards and quality assurance processes.
Reporting to the VP of Product Development, the Compliance & Quality Manager develops and implements compliance policies and procedures, assesses potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigates and resolves compliance and quality issues, and ensures the correct certification, documentation, and communication are in place to maintain adherence to compliance obligations and legal requirements. This person plays a critical role in ensuring that our products and operations comply with regulatory and safety standards and uphold the highest standards of quality.
