Location:
Houston, Texas, Virtual with select in-office days.
Type and Schedule:
Full-time, Salaried.
Reporting to the owners and the management team of the different companies, the Finance Manager is a hands-on role that will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial software, excellent communication as well as analytical skills, enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable/Receivable and Expense Tracking:
Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts.
o
Handle all financial transactions and recordkeeping including recording all transactions, postings debits, and
credits, producing financial statements, and preparing reports and summaries for the Management Teams.
Manage, categorize, record and track business inflows and outflows.
Prepare expense reports and support budget management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Manage mortgage software ledgers and reports and ensure proper financial management of the loan process from New Application to Funding to Servicing and Loan Closure in a timely manner.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.o
Scanning, Filing and Organizing documents.
Financial Reporting:
Generate and review financial reports for accuracy.
Assist in preparing financial statements for management review.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulations, including all fund activities comply with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with external accountants during audits or tax filings.
Comply with and stay updated policies and procedures.
Communication:
Communicate regularly with management regarding financial status and discrepancies.
Provide support for financial inquiries and reporting needs.
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
·
CPA preferred.
·
Bookkeeping experience required.
·
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
·
Well organized, attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
·
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
·
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
·
Work experience in Real Estate and Lending a plus.
·
MS Office, including Excel and Outlook.
·
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
·
Ability to build and maintain relationships.
·
Ability to act without guidance.
Salary, Benefits and Other Details:

$60,000 to $80,000 annually
