We are searching for highly motivated Field Service Engineer IYou will get hands on training on our production line, engineering labs and in the field with our experts as we work together to launch the next big thing in genomics.
How You'll ContributeProvide on-site service to one account, repair and/or installation of company instrumentation currently under developmentReview technical reports and documents from customers.
Analyze issues with technical staff to find root cause and communicate next steps and timelines to customersMaintain records of tool configurations pertaining to hardware, software, consumables, and application releasesManage customer interface with research and development groups.
Maintain a working relationship with customers and instill confidence and credibility in our company and productExceed customer expectations of service, support, and the product under developmentSummarize and communicate issues to development engineers for triage and participate in root cause analysis investigationsQualifications, Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesBS in science or engineering Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, server installations, and instrumentation troubleshootingSkilled at interpreting technical documentation and schematics (Electrical, Wiring, Fluidic, and mechanical drawings)Ability to relocate to any US city at our client site, after our six-month programGood people skills with the ability to work independently and in a groupTalented at building prototypes from preliminary drawings and schematicsMeticulous and detail oriented.
Excellent organizational and communication skillsMotivated and willing to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a hard-working and multidisciplinary teamExperience in biotech industry is a plusAbility to travel 50% of the time, when necessary At Ultima Genomics, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package.
This role pays up to $37 per hour, if performed in California, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; paid holidays; paid time off; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
