    Job Summary:

    As a Mental Health Provider, you will offer assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members with diverse mental health needs. You will work closely with physicians, psychiatric professionals, and allied health teams to develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.


    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Develop, implement, coordinate, and assess clinical treatment programs for Health Plan members dealing with mental health conditions. Offer outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Provide guidance on complying with treatment regimens and medications. Conduct specialized therapeutic procedures when necessary. Support members' families and conduct psychoeducational sessions.
    • Perform psychological assessments, prepare intake summaries and treatment plans, and maintain confidential records. Collaborate with physicians on evaluating patients for appropriate medications. Utilize community resources to meet members' needs and may lead behavioral medicine programs. Offer consultation to healthcare providers and supervise psychology interns and residents.
    • May oversee fellows and counselors. Provide family support and guidance on treatment acceptance and adherence. Refer members to external resources as needed. Contribute to program development and safety reporting.

    Secondary Functions:

    • Specialize in Eating Disorder Therapy.
    Basic Qualifications: Experience
    • N/A
    Education
    • PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited institution.
    License, Certification, Registration
    • California Psychologist License (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
    • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire
    Additional Requirements:
    • Proficient in DSM-V for diagnoses.
    • Skilled in assessing and treating various psychiatric conditions. Familiarity with Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of social service regulations and patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills.
    • If not licensed in CA, must be licensed in another U.S. state and able to practice under specific regulations.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented clinic environment.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated crisis intervention experience and proficiency in psychological evaluations. Strong commitment to quality service and teamwork. Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Efficient in diagnosing and treating patients.

    Location: California, Fremont - Fremont Civic Center Behavioral Health
    Schedule: Part-time, 26 hours per week, variable shifts (Mon-Fri)
