    Description:

    We are seeking a Laboratory Management Intern with a passion for developing and applying methods to support R&D personnel. The successful candidate will assist with procurement, inventory management, equipment management & service, as well as safety initiatives. This person should have experience in laboratory research with an interest in operations functions (inventory, procurement, equipment management, EH&S) or a business background with interest in the biotechnology industry. The candidate will work with innovative technology and collaborate with a highly talented and motivated team to address unmet research and medical needs.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist with the development of a Equipment Ticket System
    • Audit and update of a Chemical Inventory and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) records
    • Support the reorganization of laboratory consumables and creation of a stocking map
    • Cycle Counts & Stocking Laboratory Consumables
    • Conduct Monthly EH&S Inspections of Safety Showers, Eyewashes, & Fire Extinguishers
    Required Qualifications:
    • Working toward a Degree in the Sciences or Business Administration with 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory environment
    • Understanding and experience in applying problem solving skills to inventory and equipment management, as well as lab safety.
    • Strong Detail-Oriented, & Time Management skills.
    • Must be self-motivated with a positive "can do" attitude and have good project management skills
    • Strong communication skills and ability to "think outside the box".
    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs independently or 50 lbs with assistance

    The hourly range for this full-time position is $25 - $30. Work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training determine our salary ranges determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
