Tuba Group is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support general accounting functions. Must be proficient at handling sensitive financial details and confidential information appropriately.

United States Citizenship Required.
Position Description Summary

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping duties, preferably in a government contracting environment.

Candidate must be a quick learner, able to multi-task, effectively manage competing priorities, accurately and on schedule. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll Processing
Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payable
General Accounting and Finance Skills (2 years of experience is required)
Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word)
Quick Books
Perform routine clerical accounting duties, while adhering to established accounting standards
Data entry of contracts and accounting financial transactions in the accounting software database
Assist in audit requests
Execute accurate reporting, filing, and database management
Research and complete accounting reconciliations
EXPERIENCE and/or KNOWLEDGE
2+ years of clerical accounting experience
Experience with QuickBooks is preferred
Experience with accounting software for government contractors is preferred (Procas)
Knowledge of ADP payroll processing
SKILL and/or ABILITIES
Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills are required
Strong work ethic to function at a high level, while managing multiple projects
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proven track record in exceeding objectives
Ability to comply with local, state, and federal financial regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

Skills & Experience:
Experienced in use of accounting software
Reliable skills in Microsoft Excel
Reliable skills in Microsoft Word
Experienced with QuickBooks

Minimum Requirements:
Experience in accounting / bookkeeping
Customer service skills for invoice inquiries
Manage information by keeping proper records
EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION
High School diploma required.
Associates degree preferred, with focused course work in accounting.
