Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable (AP) Technician is responsible for processing all payable transactions and maintaining accurate records of such transactions.

This position reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and will work closely with other members of the Finance team.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Review invoices submitted by staff for completeness including coding, and process for payment by check, EFT, or wire transfers as appropriate.
  • Ensure correct vendor setup including collection of completed W9s and identifying vendors that may require a 109
  • Prepare wire transfer payments using Truist Bank web portal, followup with the bank as necessary to resolve any issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions in NetSuite.
  • Assist the Senior Accounting Manager with monthend close tasks related to Accounts Payables
  • Assist in the annual audit process by preparing auditor requests related to Accounts Payables
  • Other adhoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Needed:


  • Proficiency in the use of various Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain accounting information to nonaccountants.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage deadlines independently.

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum oneyear experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting preferably in a nonprofit environment

Salary:
$45,496 - $56,870
