    Job Summary
    Directs day to day activities and operations of a large team of data center construction project managers. Mentors junior team members and makes strong tactical decisions to resolve project issues. Manages construction project costs, methods, and project team selection.

    Responsibilities

    Project Management
    Leads regional data center construction programs

    Provides guidance and project leadership including ground up data center construction, remodels, renovations, etc., ensuring projects are meeting or exceeding company expectations

    Vendor Relations

    Responsible for up to 20 external vendors per project comprising General Contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etc.

    Supports maintenance of high value relationships

    Contract Administration
    Conducts appropriate construction contract administration procedures including generation, review, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentation

    Leadership
    Provides management and leadership across construction project management team to ensure the team's growth is in alignment with Operations' goals and strategy

    Works with project management team to set individual goals

    Mentors junior team members as needed

    Responsibility for internal and external project team members including internal Design, Procurement, Operations, and IT/Network support teams

    Policy & Procedure Development
    Contributes to creating and maintaining best in class data center construction project management policies and procedures

    Qualifications
    Extensive construction management experience including in highly technical critical facility construction projects

    Data center construction experience strongly preferred

    Proven experience in project management in a critical facility construction environment

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    in a related field of engineering, construction management, architecture

    Ability and willingness to travel (Approx. 30% of time) throughout the US with specific focus on Northern Virginia

    Team leadership experience

    Strong stakeholder management and collaboration including vendor management

    Self-motivated and flexible

    In-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry standard methodologies

    Experienced in construction procurement methodologies

    MS Office including MS Project, Excel, and Visio skills
