    Job Title: Manager of Business Operations

    Company: Finance & Administration-20


    Location: Radford

    FLSA: Exempt/ Not eligible for overtime

    Hiring Range: Pay Band 5

    Full Time or Part Time: Full Time


    About the Job:

    • The Business Operations Manager in the Finance & Administration division provides support for administrative and operational areas.
    • Supports projects and initiatives within the division, working closely with AVPs to prioritize projects for the VPFA.
    • Distributes budget information, shares reports, and ensures timelines are met for information requests from state agencies.
    • Assists in maintaining accurate university policies, procedures, and communication.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong operational, administrative, financial skills, and knowledge of policy development.
    • Experience in budget management, operations, or resource allocation.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of state and university policies and procedures.
    • Experience in higher education finance, accounting, or operations.
    • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and judgment.
    • Working knowledge of Banner, eVA, Chrome River, Cognos, or similar systems.
