    Description

    Do you know every component in a cell phone? We are hiring an electrical engineer who wants to reduce BOM cost of the comma 3X. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components for our consumer electronics products.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Optimization of hardware systems, focusing on cost reduction without compromising on quality and performance.
    • Design and development of electrical systems for consumer electronics, including schematic capture, PCB layout, RF engineering, and prototyping, ensuring seamless transition from concept to production.
    • Independently design, test, and ship robust hardware solutions.
    • Engage in reverse engineering to understand existing systems and identify cost-effective alternatives.
    • Manage the sourcing of parts, negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms.

    Qualifications

    • Strong foundation in hardware design, RF engineering, and PCB layout.
    • Proven ability to independently design, test, and ship hardware products.
    • Proficient in Python, Linux, and Git, with a solid understanding of C/C++.
    • Experience in high-speed electronics design and designing for manufacturability.
    • Preferred candidates will have experience with reverse engineering and effective sourcing of parts.
