    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer (Hardware Design) OR a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer (Hardware Design) to join a team of engineers who are responsible for the architecture, design, and build of large data centers using commercially available IT equipment.

    This position will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment teaming closely with other hardware and software engineers in lab and production environments.

    Travel will be up to 25%.
    Collaborate with engineers, facilitating hardware procurement to meet design requirements and program needs.
    Document, develop, and improve existing process(es)
    Monitor and manage software licenses and support agreements, as well as their expiration dates
    Organize, track, and document hardware movement
    Generate and maintain data center BoMs
    Collaborate with system Architects on initial system design

    This position can be filled at either the Principal Electronics Engineer (Hardware Design) OR a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer (Hardware Design) level, depending upon the qualifications below.

    Basic Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer (Hardware Design):

    Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience.

    Experience with Microsoft Office products
    Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
    Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/SAR).

    This SAP/SAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

    Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Electronics Engineer (Hardware Design):

    Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 9 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 7 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in STEM with 4 years of related engineering experience.

    Experience with Microsoft Office products
    Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
    Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/SAR).

    This SAP/SAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

    Active SAP/SAR
    Knowledge of procurement process and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
    Experience with building IT data centers and their design/architecture
    Familiarity with Windows, Solaris, Linux, and other Oracle systems
    Proficient in Excel, Visio, and VBA
