    Description


    The Project Manager , reporting to Director of Technology, is a key contributor driving the optimal direction and execution of R2's technology strategy.

    Partnering with leaders across the organization, this position is responsible for managing the portfolio of programs and projects at R2 and ensuring they move forward to reach stated objectives.

    Leveraging an Agile approach, this position is also responsible for direct management of designated projects.


    The Project Manager is responsible for improving the project management practices, promoting the use of tools to plan projects and report status, and facilitating the professional development of the department in terms of project management methodologies.

    Additional key responsibilities include the development and roll out of a project management framework that can be applied consistently across projects.

    This includes the creation of templates, status updates, communication plans, risk management strategies, and project plans.


    Responsibilities:
    Develop and maintain project management standards, policies, procedures, practices, documents, and templates
    Manage key projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including coordinating project meetings, developing project plans, creating project documentation, monitoring, reporting status, and keeping projects on schedule
    Participate in the development, implementation, and assessment of the portfolio of projects to include "health-checks" and "go-live" readiness reviews
    Manage the Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decision Tracking (i.e. RAID Log) for assigned projects.
    Lead the delivery of formal and informal training in the project management framework
    Understand business requirements and project scope to enforce change control process.
    Communicate status, project timelines, and budget tracking to all designated stakeholders for assigned projects
    Continuously find ways to improve processes, execution, and delivery of projects
    Participate in special projects and handle other assigned duties as required


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree required
    Experience: 4 to 7 years of experience in a project management role.
    Project management certification PMP preferred
    Strong knowledge of various project management frameworks and toolsets
    Ability to work seamlessly as part of a team and demonstrate a strong team commitment.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills
    Strong coaching and mentoring skills to assist in the dissemination and implementation of project management practices throughout the organization
    Outstanding decision-making skills and ability to take measured risks
    Understanding of and experience with metrics, KPIs, reports and reporting solutions.
    Ability to lead and champion change
    Strong negotiation and collaboration skills
    Understanding of various technology systems such as ERPs, custom solutions technologies, packaged based applications, etc.
    Understanding of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and logistics solutions
    Proficient organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage a portfolio of projects
    Self-motivated leader with the ability to take the initiative
    Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
    Proficient with Microsoft Office
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Participates in training, continuing education, or continuous improvement
