    Description


    Application Development Consultant at Highmark Health in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Company : enGen Job Description : JOB SUMMARY Due to confidentiality restrictions, only US citizens will be eligible to fill this role.

    This job is involved with the most complex issues (may involve multiple systems) and/or develop alternative solutions, ensuring that resolution addresses all potential impacts.

    Provides the most complex architecture and technical designs including data mapping and process modeling in order to understand capability gaps when analyzing issues.

    Recommends changes based on this analysis. Analyze data to determine business problems, trends, or opportunities for process improvement. Provide root cause analysis and corrective action plan, verify delivery of customer needs, and ensure quality delivery. Scan and debug complex technology to maintain optimum system performance.

    Will proactively assist with monitoring and support; will make sure monitoring has been completed as new development and projects are completed.

    Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Has excellent understanding of the business or function for which application is designed. Assist with quality assurance reviews.

    Uses functional and organizational knowledge to mentor Associate, Intermediate, and Senior Application Developers, as well as others outside of immediate team.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES + Provide the most complex architecture and technical designs including data mapping and process modeling in order to understand capability gaps or new requirements, particularly when onboarding new clients.

    Recommend changes to the client based on this analysis.

    + Responsible for all aspects of the application life cycle, including coordination with user groups to identify solutions that improve business processes, implementing the most complex process and system changes, system training, and other user-focused activities.

    + Conduct the most complex analysis and provide estimates based on technical component changes. Plan the installation of enhancements, integrations, and other systems changes. Ensure adherence to project schedule. + Scan and debug complex technology to maintain optimum system performance. + Provide guidance and education to lower level employees. + Other duties as assigned or requested.

    EDUCATION Required + Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related field Substitution + none Preferred + Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related field EXPERIENCE Required + 7 years of Application Development experience To Include:
    + 3 years of Business Systems experience Preferred + None LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Required + None Preferred + Java Developer + DB2 + PEGA + Enterprise Architect (SCEA) + Project Management + Lean/Six Sigma Certification + Angular, Services SKILLS + IMS, DB2, Oracle and Teradata Databases, Data Warehousing + COBOL, Visual Basic, C C++, SAS + Java/JavaScript Framework + PEGA, CSS3, Mobile, JSON, Cognos, Hadoop, SQL, J2EE, HTML5/XM + Business Object + Waterfall, Agile, Rational + Analytical Skills + Communication Skills + Problem-Solving Skills ?     Pay Range Minimum:
    $78,900.00 Pay Range Maximum:
    $146,000.00 Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
