- Perform non stress tests to pregnant patients as ordered.
- Provide first & third trimester education.
- Oversee LPNs in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act.
- Comprehensive assessment of patients.
- Triage presenting patients for appropriateness of care.
- Take vital signs and monitor patients.
- Administration of medications, IVs and immunizations as ordered.
- Implement protocols/orders after appropriate assessments.
- Assist with surgical procedures, monitoring and assessments of sedated patients.
- Insertion and DC'ing IV's, administering fluids and medications as ordered.
- Inputting of all applicable data into the EMR (Cerner).
- Contact patients with lab results and medication changes as ordered by the physician.
- Coordinate schedules, procedures and supplies.
- Coordinate and schedule care for patients referred for specialty care.
- Scheduling of surgery or diagnostic studies.
- Coordinate nurse schedule with physician schedule in clinic and/or operating room (OR).
- Ensuring nursing supplies and medications are properly ordered and available.
- 2-4 year RN degree.
- Minnesota RN License or ability to obtain.
- CPR Certification. BLS.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of basic fetal monitoring preferred.
- May lift objects up to 50# rarely, 30-45# occasionally and frequently 10-30#
- May push/pull carts or equipment up to 50# of force frequently and rarely up to 100#
- May push/pull wheelchairs with 30-50# of force with handle height = 36
- May require moderate to firm gripping or pinching. May use hand tools
- May reach frequently 7-36, occasionally 6-80.
- Transfers patients/residents from bed, shower chairs, commodes, chair scale, recliners, lateral cart transfers, car transfers and wheelchairs up to 30 times/shift
- Transfers patients/residents with the appropriate safe patient handling equipment including EZ stand, EZ lift, Golvo lift, ceiling lift, slider boards, and scoop and transfer belts.
- Positions patients/residents in bed by rolling, boosting and turning. Assistance of additional staff is often required or the use of appropriate safe patient handling equipment including SLIPP, Ergo slide, orange sheets or the Golvo lift.
- Assumes Positions to complete the patient/resident treatments which may require holding a position or a patient in a position for period of time(5 minutes duration)
- Reaching horizontally for patient care, treatment or assessment at 6-10 frequently and occasionally up to 22-24 to reach across the bed. May over-reach to retrieve blood pressure cuff while pulling patient curtain
- May assume squatting or stooping position for emptying a Foley catheter or donning shoes and socks or adjusting the wheelchair foot rests.
- Bending duration of 7-56 seconds, depending on the cares. Frequent bending throughout the shift.
- Transport patients/resident in beds, carts, wheelchairs. Vertical handle height at 36. Firm grasping required. Push/pull force for beds=35-45#, for Wheelchairs: 15-50#. Tipping or pushing down on the patient scale to move it = 35# force

Position Overview:
The Clinic RN is responsible for the care of clinic patients.
The Clinic RN is skilled in all aspects of nursing process, delegates and supervises staff in assistive roles on the same shift and is responsible to deliver the highest of customer service standards for patients and families presenting for services at Winona Health.
The Clinic RN will assess and triage patients to make certain of the appropriateness of care.Will provide patient care including but not limited to rooming of patients, performing assessments and gathering of data for the physician.
Patient information will be entered into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Direct patient care will include but is not limited to taking vital signs, medication administration, treatments, IV's, monitoring of patients, scheduling and coordination of care for referred for specialty care and general assistance to the provider as needed.
Other responsibilities may include phlebotomy and performing laboratory testing. Must be able to assist at all Winona Health Clinic locations if necessary.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Clinical Outpatient environment. Fast-paced and challenging environment with constantly changing reimbursement rules and regulations. Multi-tasking ability required due to the wide variety of assigned duties.
Not unusual to deal with upset customers/staff who may be experiencing a variety of frustrations due to the complexity inherent in today's healthcare payment system.
Required Work Schedule:
Hours generally fall between 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday- Friday.
