    General Summary:

    The Multimedia Support Specialist is responsible for working closely with the Public Relations Manager to facilitate the development and execution of internal and external communications supporting the overall marketing and public relations strategy. The Multimedia Support Specialist is key in developing compelling photo and video content for the marketing team, spearheading all internal video production requests, and supporting the business by serving as a brand ambassador at community events.

    Essential Job Functions

    Content Creation:

    • Under the supervision of Public Relations Manager, creates various video projects to support both internal and external initiatives;
    • Coordinates and executes photo and video shoots with key representatives where final assets may be used in marketing collateral;
    • Translates marketing strategy and company culture initiatives into compelling copy;
    • Works with members of the marketing team to fulfill social media efforts;
    • Identifies and executes opportunities to collaborate with departments across the organization to communicate initiatives;
    • Works with Public Relations Manager on storyboarding and shooting engaging photo and video content for internal and external use.

    Media/Community Relations Coordination:

    • Assists in managing relationships with local chambers and city officials;
    • Coordinates presence at local events and business expos;
    • Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Public Relations Manager;
    • Travels to customer sites, project areas, business related events, and other Ritter Communications locations as required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Excellent communication skills and writing capabilities;
    • Knowledge of company products and services;
    • Skill in operating personal computer and various software programs including Microsoft Office;
    • Skill in the use of presentation, word processing and spreadsheet software;
    • Skill in oral and written communication;
    • Skill in public speaking;
    • Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner;
    • Requires excellent organizational and time-management skills, including ability to effectively plan and prioritize assignments in an interdependent environment;
    • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand;
    • Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail with little direction;
    • Ability to foster a team environment and sustain employee morale;
    • Ability to travel to system-wide locations to perform job accountabilities as needed;
    • Ability to flourish as part of a team;
    • Ability to be adaptive, flexible and able to shift strategies on short notice as environment dictates;
    • Ability to travel for business requirements; must possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelors' degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field and 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

    Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom and Photoshop is a plus;

    Knowledge of telecom industry/operations, technology, and equipment is a plus but not required.
