Description

As a Business Analyst at Clearwater Analytics, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data, identifying trends, and providing valuable insights that support our strategic objectives.

Working with the Chief of Staff, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, finance, and operations, to understand our business requirements and translate them into actionable recommendations.

Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion, while maintaining a collaborative approach.

Comfort with ambiguity is essential, as you will navigate and thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas of improvement and optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of objectives and desired outcomes.
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to extract valuable insights and provide actionable recommendations to drive informed decision-making.
Take ownership of projects, driving them to completion by managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Proactively identify and communicate project risks, issues, and dependencies, and propose mitigation strategies.

Support strategic thinking by conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and providing insights to support the development of long-term business strategies.

Contribute to corporate governance activities by assisting in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls.
Prepare executive reports and presentations, summarizing key findings, insights, and recommendations for senior leadership and board meetings.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress of strategic initiatives.

Maintain a collaborative approach by actively engaging with team members, sharing knowledge and expertise, and fostering a positive work environment.

Demonstrate comfort with ambiguity and adaptability in navigating a dynamic and rapidly evolving work environment.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to investment accounting, fintech, strategic planning, and corporate governance.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

MBA preferredProven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the fintech, financial services, or investment management industry.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key trends and insights.

Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.Familiarity with investment accounting concepts, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements is a plus.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.
