    XPEL), a leading supplier of automotive paint protection films, window films, ceramic coatings and commercial/residential flat glass film, is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for its San Antonio, TX corporate headquarters.


    XPEL is a multi-national corporation that is unique in that all our accounting and finance tasks are handled from our growing headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.

    We are an SEC registrant and a large accelerated filer that is growing We have a small team that has a lot of fun (yes – even as accountants) and takes a lot of pride in producing a top-notch product every day.

    The Accounting Manager will assist with financial statement preparation, annual control documentation and testing, assist with international statutory/benefit plan audits, and periodic special projects.

    We are seeking a leader that has a strong accounting background and wants to help manage our multiple annual/quarterly deadlines.

    This position is designed for growth It will offer the right candidate plenty of room to work independently, but they will also be actively supported by the Director of Financial Reporting and the Controller.

    Core Duties


    • External financial reporting – including preparation of SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, etc.);
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for annual consolidated audit and quarterly reviews;
    • Assist with annual SOX compliance work;
    • Prepare and review entries for the EOM close process, as necessary;
    • Perform detailed review of staff-prepared audit workpapers;
    • Assist with accounting work related to acquisitions;
    • Work closely with the multiple internal teams to ensure ongoing compliance with internal controls and assist with audits as needed;
    • Develop training documents for departmental tasks to facilitate cross training and increase ease of task transitions;
    • Other periodic special projects as they arise; and
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred; minimum 4 years' progressive accounting experience with exposure to the areas noted above
    • Experience managing a team of at least two professionals (preferred but not required)
    • Excellent analytical, creative problem solving, organizational, and project management skills
    • Experience with SOX compliance (preferred but not required)
    • Strong sense of task-ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
    • Career progression that shows initiative to be an active problem solver; ability to identify needs, communicate with key team members, and implement process improvements
    • Experience with consolidated financial statements in a publicly traded company preferred
    • Strong advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is mandatory
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision; comfortable solving daily problems and bringing resolution without additional guidance
    • Strong desire to work in a rapidly growing and complex organization and ready to embrace the fast pace needed to succeed and meet deadlines, including additional hours at times
    • Positive attitude, sense of humor and ability to re-prioritize tasks quickly
    • Proven ability to excel in a team environment
    • Desire to work in an evolving environment; must be willing to embrace change quickly
    • Commitment to professionalism in all interactions with customers, coworkers and management
    • Proven ability to maintain good work habits; punctuality and regular attendance are a must
