    DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATOR, College of Arts & Sciences, Modern Language & Comparative Literature

    The Department of World Languages & Literatures is looking for a professional to manage financial, operational, and faculty functions. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets, implementing policies, and serving as the main contact for faculty, staff, and external parties. This role involves handling class scheduling, faculty actions, and more. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively. Strong communication skills are a must for interacting with various stakeholders.

    The Department offers a diverse range of global cultural courses in languages like Arabic, Chinese, German, and more. Key responsibilities include managing faculty actions, budget monitoring, coordinating teaching assignments, and supervising office operations. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong data analysis skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Administer faculty actions procedures, including tenure review and promotion.
    • Manage departmental budget and teaching assignments.
    • Supervise office facilities and staff.
    • Plan events and coordinate funds transfers.
    • Process honoraria and expense reimbursements.
