Description

Soni's client is looking for a Business Analyst This role manages assigned development projects by interviewing users and customers to understand project requirements and deliverables, developing detailed specifications, defining scope and priorities, communicating requirements to developers and quality assurance colleagues, scheduling work, ensuring project deadlines are established and adhered to, testing deliverables, and communicating project goals and processes to the customer.

The ideal candidate can come into the office once per quarter, and live within 2 hours of Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:
Work with end users to determine needs (data, screens, processes, reports) and develop scope
Research and document existing workflows and systems then makes recommendations where improvements can be made
Develop an understanding of how solutions will impact present and future business needs
Provide documentation in various forms including specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, support documentation and other requirements artifacts to satisfy quality and completeness standards
Provide scope, high level estimates, organization and prioritization for various project efforts
Facilitate product backlog grooming sessions to prioritize work, update and organize user stories, and solve product related problems
Excellent business administration and communication skills including presenting to business users, senior management, and technical teams
Act as company's liaison with external vendors and consultants
Communicate with all levels of the organization in multiple forms including status reporting and requirements clarification
Conform to generally accepted technology and web standards as adopted by company
Work independently with a minimum amount of supervision
Perform testing and training to ensure successful project results
Keep current with advances in both technology and technique (i

e:
web, client/server; rapid application development techniques; relational database methodology)

Required skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related fields of study
5+ years' hands-on experience in technology implementation
