About our Client:

Our client, a Private Equity real estate investor and developer with headquarters in Silicon Valley, CA, is looking for an east coast based Accounting Manager to join their team. This company is growing fast, and is at the forefront of institutional quality real estate investment, development and management.

Position Overview:

In partnership with the Senior Director of Tax and Accounting, you will play a pivotal role in continuing the consistent growth of the firm, as well as the corporate and fund accounting team. As a strong Accounting professional, you'll bring your expertise gained from experience in public accounting to the table, and thrive if you enjoy working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The person in this role enjoys a fully remote schedule, with needed availability for periodic meetings in Boston, MA with the Senior Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly review of trial balances and financial statements of all reporting entities.
Reviews account reconciliations and transactions, checks financial records for accuracy and completeness.
Develops and shares KPI reports with advanced analytics for quarterly reporting packages for Partners.
Works collaboratively with internal and external teams to support company accounting and reporting needs, provides financial information for business decisions.
Owns audit deliverables and the external CPA firm partnership. Ensures that the interim and annual audits are completed in a timely manner.
Assists in the creation and expansion of accounting policies and procedures.
Develops solutions to complex problems that utilize new, technical methodologies.
Stays abreast of business and industry changes, shares market data and information to inform risk or opportunity.
Assists with continuous accounting related automation projects within NetSuite ERP.
Assists with tax returns and estimates on an as needed basis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting firm & private industry. Operational Accounting knowledge is a must; Tax experience is a plus.
CPA Preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft office; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, while building strong working relationships across departments.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Note: This is a remote role based in the greater Boston, MA area. Interested candidates MUST be able to travel to meet with Management periodically within Boston proper.
