    Description
    VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking an experienced Front-end Developer to support a Navy customer located in Arlington, VA. This is a hybrid position reporting onsite 2 days/wk.

    For this position, only candidates with an Active DoD Secret Clearance and residing within commuting distance of Arlington, VA will be considered.

    ResponsibilitiesAssist Navy R&D customer with analyzing their needs and challenges, identify and implement system improvements and create new web-based cloud centric applications while addressing current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality.

    Using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies such as JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, including and React or Angular to develop web-based self- service applications and provide real system support.

    Work with a team of data scientists, developers and engineers to build scalable web-based applications that pull from several database sources using technologies such as ES6+ JavaScript, React, , Python, Git, Tomcat, PL SQL / PL pgSQL, AJAX, HTML 5, CSS 3, or Restful Web services.

    Work in fast agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) environment (Demoing, Sprinting, Iterative Development) to develop applications from vision to implementation.

    Actively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and product support teamDetail-oriented and able to assess issues and develop resolutions to meet project/program goals and objectives.

    Effectively manage multiple tasks within a dynamic and fast-paced work environmentBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related engineering discipline required.

    Security+ Certification required.3+ years of experience with database-driven web applications working with cloud services (AWS, Azure)3+ years of front-end development experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, including and React or Angular in a production environment.2+ years of experience with React and understand Functional Components vs Class Components2+ years of database querying (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle)Experience with Modern Software Development Lifecycle Techniques (Git Branching)Experience with API-to
    • API application integrationActive DoD Secret Clearance required.

    This position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

    For this position, VISTA will consider only applicants with an active DoD security clearance.
