Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience supporting custom software development efforts
Experience with backend technologies such as Python (Django),.NET (Entity Framework), Java (Spring) and
Adept in building API backend frameworks that interop with existing systems
Skilled in Database Development in languages such as Oracle SQL, MySQL and Postgres
Comfortable developing in a highly collaborative agile development environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, testdriven development, etc.)
Solid communication skills and collaborative approach with clients, team members and partners.

Active Secret Clearance Required (NO EXCEPTIONS)

Essential Responsibilities:

Collaborate with customer product owners and crossfunctional agile team to support working sessions and to evaluate, define, and prioritize requirements/features/user stories
Contribute to technical research/analysis of user stories and participate in agile ceremonies including backlog grooming and sprint planning,
Complete assigned user stories by designing and developing new features/components or major enhancements to existing software while ensuring compliance with Cyber Security and Federal IT security standards (i.e., NIST) as well as Section 508 accessibility requirements
Conduct unit testing and contribute to set up of automated testing while collaborating with testers to address found issues/bugs, and support team with documentation required by the client
Support demos and provide technical support to endusers for UAT and/or production issues.

Work Location:

Currently remote with occasional travel within the Washington, DC metro area or company HQ in Reston, VA

Travel:

Occasional team meetings in Reston, VA

Education Level:

2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field; 4+ years of experience in place of a degree

Clearance Level:

Active Secret Clearance Required; US Citizenship Required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
