    Position Summary
    The International Programs Manager is responsible for the development and management of education abroad programs including advising students, supporting faculty in program development, and planning and implementing promotional and outreach activities on campus and in the community. The manager serves as an integral member of the Office of International Education and Engagement (IEE) and supports all efforts related to international education at UWL. This position reports to the Director of International Education.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly with presentation creation and delivery.
    • Strong intercultural and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Evidence of strong organizational, administrative, and computer skills.
    • Experience working, living, or studying abroad.
    • Knowledge and understanding of education abroad best practices.


    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree
    • Experience working in an international education office (preferably education abroad)
    • Experiences with study abroad and student management software.
    • Familiarity with third-party study abroad provider and/or exchange programs
    • Demonstrate flexibility, positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to unique situations with resourcefulness and persistence
    • Proven organizational and record-keeping skills; problem-solving ability; ability to maintain confidentiality; and exceptional ability to work under pressure in stressful conditions
    • Ability to respectfully work, communicate and provide leadership within a diverse campus community.
    • Ability to work independently and part of a team to reach campus international education goals.

    The Division of Academic Affairs encompasses a wide array of activities and functions that ensure the overall academic quality of the institution. This includes providing administrative oversight and academic leadership for: the College of Business Administration; the College of Arts, Social Sciences & Humanities; the College of Science and Health; the School of Education; Murphy Library; Records and Registration; Financial Aid; Career Services; Academic Advising; Graduate and Extended Learning; the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs; the office of Undergraduate Research and Creativity; the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning; Institutional Research; and International Education & Engagement.
