    Position Overview

    Spectrum Health is currently seeking a dedicated Patient Services Representative to join their team. As a Level-3 Patient-Centered Medical Home, Spectrum is committed to providing top-tier healthcare services to the community, focusing on quality primary care, specialty services, and social services.

    As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients and ensuring a smooth healthcare experience. Your responsibilities will include customer service, patient registration, scheduling, and data accuracy.

    Job Summary:

    • Inform patients about fee assessment procedures and co-pays.
    • Perform patient pre-registration and verify insurance coverage.
    • Maintain patient schedules and review information forms.
    • Collect payments and obtain necessary signatures.
    • Handle high call volumes and schedule appointments.
    • Assist with referrals and provide patient instructions.
    • Ensure accurate data entry and support patient access improvement activities.
    • Required to work at multiple sites and occasional extended hours.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of two years' experience in medical office operations.
    • Proficiency in data entry and customer service.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Detail-oriented and ability to work under pressure.
    • Bilingual in English-Spanish preferred.
