    Executive Sous Chef - Westside Hotel

    Boutique Westside hotel is looking for an Executive Sous Chef to join the team. Looking for someone who is excited about a food-driven F&B program. Ideal candidates should be passionate about fresh and seasonal Italian cuisine (and have prior experience with it).

    Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:

    • Ordering, receiving and maintaining food costs
    • Creating prep lists for the staff
    • Overseeing BOH team and jumping in on the line
    • Maintaining professional standards
    • Working cleanly, efficiently, and with respect for ingredients
    • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and service standards
    • Maintain a positive, work environment via effective, professional communication with other employees and managers

    Executive Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience working in an ingredient driven professional kitchen as an Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Senior Sous Chef for a minimum of 2 years
    • Vast knowledge of culinary techniques, procedures and equipment
    • Friendly, outgoing, energetic team player with a positive attitude
    • Experience with fresh made pasta
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
    • Flexible schedule
    • Enforcement of safety/sanitation standards and procedures
    • Food handlers license
    • Ability to take and give direction
