    Description

    SUMMARY


    Manage the overall marketing functions for CNB's non-entertainment and cultural businesses, including design, implementation, and maintenance of successful marketing plans, in addition to developing new strategies while maximizing budget.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Includes the following:
    Develops and manages strategic marketing and communication plans, and advertising and promotional activities for CNB's companies and departments.


    Supervises the account management team to ensure products & services are in sync with CNB's marketing strategies and brand standards.

    Manages relationships with internal clients, including CNB leaders and business development managers, and Cherokee Nation leaders.


    Oversees the development and production of marketing collateral materials, including developing advertising strategies, media plans, purchasing media services and managing all associated budgets.

    Manages the development of other marketing services, including marketing research, trade shows, and sales collateral.

    Creates and executes compelling marketing campaigns and analyze performance to ensure plan objectives are attained.

    Creates content for corporate and company specific marketing materials and federal contracting proposal materials.

    Articulates product and service offerings, key benefits and messages for use by business development teams.

    Stays abreast of industry and marketing trends to drive performance excellence.

    Nurtures and support the growth of CNB's diversified businesses through integrated marketing campaigns.

    Creates and implements advanced analytics & process management improvements using such tools like JobSuite & Client Management.

    Implements a content strategy and development plan for CNB's non-entertainment and cultural businesses.

    Develops customer feedback cycles, survey and focus groups to better understand customer needs and drive demand through related efforts.

    Budgets and optimizes marketing spend across all channels to maximize ROI and achieve brand awareness, sales and profitability goals.

    Oversees continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.

    Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

    Manage a department and have authority over hiring/firing/performance decisions.


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's degree in marketing and 8-10 years of related marketing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience is a requirement. MBA or graduate degree is preferred with an emphasis in marketing or communications.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


    Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to represent CNB in a professional manner to all vendors, media outlets and targeted accounts.

    Knowledge to develop and execute marketing and advertising campaigns is required.

    Ability to effectively manage brands is required.

    Must have knowledge of media buying and a thorough understanding of print, radio, TV, outdoor and online media options.

    Energetic, motivated and committed to producing results in a fast-paced environment.

    Advanced client service skills and must be proficient with Microsoft Office and internet.

    Ability to have a professional appearance, reliable work ethics, positive attitude and professional demeanor are required.


    Working knowledge of tribal industries, problem solving skills and leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a staff.


    Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and to manage simultaneously work on multiple projects in a professional manner.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled and professional office setting.
