    Description

    Established and successful contract manufacturing company is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the Purchasing department. The ideal candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of the raw materials, packaging items, and external services market, as well as strong negotiation skills to liaise with multiple suppliers for all company purchases.

    The responsibilities of the Procurement Manager include:

    • Developing, leading, and implementing the purchasing strategy in collaboration with the COO.
    • Adhering to current purchasing protocols and establishing new ones to streamline procedures.
    • Engaging in negotiations with suppliers for all procurement needs.
    • Addressing any supplier-related issues such as delays and overall performance.
    • Exploring alternative sources for raw materials, packaging items, and services related to current inventory.
    • Identifying cost-saving opportunities for current inventory.
    • Meeting the annual cost-saving objectives established by senior management.
    • Reviewing and adjusting reorder points for all inventory items.

    The ideal Procurement Manager should hold a bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management, or possess 5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field. Attention to detail, accounting proficiency, ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, familiarity with ERP systems, and background in pharma, food, or supplement industries are advantageous.
