    Description

    IT Procurement Category Manager (Strategic Sourcing) – Contract

    Are you an independent professional looking for temporary or project-based work? Join KPMG Assignment Select, a team of skilled individuals with the right expertise.

    KPMG, in partnership with Magnit, is seeking a remote contractor based in New York.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide expertise in IT Professional Services and outsourcing, develop category strategies based on spend data analysis
    • Use market data to drive decision making and identify cost improvement opportunities
    • Execute sourcing projects to deliver total value in partnership with stakeholders
    • Manage RFX processes, supplier selection, and perform data analysis and financial modeling
    • Develop negotiation strategies, drive procurement strategy, and support supplier diversity
    • Establish governance processes with suppliers and partners, manage supplier performance
    • Build relationships with business partners, challenge the status quo, and ensure compliance

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum five years of experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and project management
    • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and purchasing systems
    • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Understanding of contract terms and value management
