    Description

    Bethesda Country Club is hiring an **Event Coordinator**. This position will organize and execute the administration of the Catering Department to establish the highest standards of food and beverage quality and service. Stay current on all special event trends and techniques and implement processes for including these into best practices in the department. Improve and maintain BEO process, striving for error free data and documentation.     Essential Functions: Requirements: * High school graduate or equivalent required; college degree preferred. 3 or more years in Restaurant, Hotel, Country Club or Catering required.

    Ability to multi task and create an organized and efficient work flow

    Weekend & Holiday availability required

    Strong Customer Service Skills

    Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Excel and Publisher

    Plan, organize and distribute data for private & Club events to the various catering and banquet management team, other Club departments and Club vendors.

    Booking and planning of internal department events including but not limited to committee meetings, member golf and tennis functions, Swim/Dive activities and assist with signature Club events.

    Implement, maintain and enforce department deliverables (Event Order Packets & Change Logs) with Club expectations and standards in regards to new business, department standards of operations.

    Regularly review and update Club event calendar on the website in regards to reservations, flyer information, event satisfaction surveys and other departmental website needs.

    Assist in the Catering Department's goals by establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and revenues.

    Initiate, with the assistance of the Senior Event Manager, Director of Events, Food & Beverage Director, and Culinary Team in teh development of new, attractive, and creative menues, and seasonal theme menus and special events to maximize member participation, drive revenue, add value, and variety.
