Are you an Accounting Manager local to College Park, MD with a knack for numbers and a passion for construction? We are on the hunt for a dynamic and talented Accounting Manager to join our team.

We are a growing construction with clients throughout the east coast. We have over 50 years of experience in drywall, masonry, concrete/masonry restoration, structural strengthening and building envelope restoration.

This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all financial aspects of our thriving construction business.

You will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, including payroll, cost accounting, and budget control. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Managing all aspects of payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
Preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and various financial reports.
Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Developing and implementing effective financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
Collaborating with other departments to improve financial performance and understanding.
Monitoring all financial data and preparing accurate reports for senior management.
Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
Evaluating and managing risk, performing profitability analyses, and coordinating the company's financial planning and budget management functions.
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems.
Ability to manage large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
