- Prior 3+ years product management experience on a complex B2B software product
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong visual, verbal and written communication skills, e.g. as manifested through well-written emails, clear Slack messages, well-documented Jira tickets
- Strong UX skills, including ability to build simple workflow diagrams, wireframes, and mockups using design components (preference for Figma)
- Strong technical understanding of front and back-end technologies
- Experience with Jira and agile development methodologies
- A creative thinker who also exhibits great attention to detail
- Self-motivated with startup DNA (prior startup experience required)
- Hands on, team player with a bias for action
- Gives constructive and helpful feedback to teammates; receives and responds well to feedback
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Passion for the food industry
- Continual, precise prioritization of product backlog and forward-looking roadmap
- Collaborate with our design team to come up with efficient and elegant solutions to problems large and small
- Tackle large, complex projects effectively by first driving to the goals/problem(s) to be solved, then scoping, estimating, slicing, prioritizing, and executing
- Validate hypotheses with the market and customers creatively and efficiently
- Write clear and comprehensive product requirements and documentation, being careful to not leave room for misinterpretation
- Manage the development of product features - build project plans and managing execution and timelines in a startup environment
- Identify, validate, and resolve product bugs and issues effectively
- Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders - not only engineering and QA, but also sales and services, and leadership
- Oversee and manage release of products and features internally

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Product Manager to join our team building the next generation suite of software solutions for fresh food wholesalers, distributors, and shippers. There is currently opportunity to contribute to WholesaleWare (ERP software spanning inventory management, order management, and accounting), GrubMarket AI (our AI-powered virtual assistants), and Orders IO (our mobile eCommerce solution, including digital payments). The Product Manager will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as product planning, prioritization, and roadmap development. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver product features that meet customer needs. This role is located in South San Francisco, CA, and the current hybrid policy is 3 days in the office per week.
