- Assists in the planning and implementation of strategies for managing foundation prospects to maximize their charitable contributions in support of Emory's missions of education, research, and patient care.
- May collaborate in this process with school/unit Development Directors, Deans, Faculty, and University Leadership.
- Partners with advancement officers, research/healthcare/school administrators, faculty, and Emory University and Emory Healthcare leadership to drive enterprise-wide efforts to increase philanthropic support from foundations.
- Stewards and cultivates an active portfolio of foundation prospects.
- Assists in the development and negotiation of school/unit programmatic project ideas for funding consideration, aligning school/unit needs with foundation goals/interests.
- Manages meetings and partnerships between prospects, schools/units, and central administrative offices, including the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
- Stays abreast of complex application and/or solicitation requirements as well as industry best practices.
- Writes/prepares complex proposals for submission to prospects.
- Writes, reviews, and edits letters, briefings, and other fundraising materials.

- Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in fundraising, corporate and/or foundation setting, or related field OR an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations teams partner with schools and units across Emory University and Emory Healthcare to provide corporate and foundation fundraising and engagement through the development of mutually beneficial relationships. By working with faculty and university leadership, they create awareness of Emorys distinctive strengths with a range of philanthropic organizations. This position will report to the Vice President for Principal Gifts.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department.
