Description Overview:

Perform technology transfer activities for new and/or revised products and processes by preparing various manufacturing documents and technical reports. Provides technical support for the various scientific functions and related processes within Nutrition R&D. Support the administration of operational testing with R&D Sensory and Consumer Science function.


Scope of the Role:


  • Prepare technical documentation such as manufacturing instructions, technology transfer documents, protocols, protocol summary reports, and various other critical manufacturing documents.
  • Technical support of R&D operations by performing various duties as assigned to support new product development, new process development and foundational scientific investigation. Activities include but not limited to designing scientific experiments, executing trials, and summarizing studies.
  • Support the Sensory and Consumer Science function by running sensory panels following protocols and instructions. Activities include but not limited to prepping samples, programming test ballots, coordinating with panelists, executing tests, and entering data.

Experience Required:


  • Preferred: BS in Food Science or related degree with at least one year or relevant professional experience.
  • Strong organizational, ownership, anticipatory and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of nutritional manufacturing unit processes and the underlying food chemistry and technology principles.
  • Obsession with accuracy and detail and superior written communication.
  • Agility in working with all levels of employment, experience, and expertise.
  • High learning drive and passion to immerse into the details of infant formula manufacture.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel. Working knowledge of DCS, LIMS, and SAP preferred.
