    About Our Client

    A very well known Nonprofit organization that focuses on providing social services to local communities. This particular Nonprofit is in hyper growth mode and expanding into other regions.

    Job Description

  • Supports the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll
  • Runs bi-weekly payroll in the absence of the Payroll Manager
  • Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal legislation affecting payroll and understands and follows applicable provisions
  • Helps prepare required tax filings and other reporting, including 5500's.
  • Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting
  • Detects and corrects errors in payroll and other financial records in reconciling ledgers and other accounts
  • Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly
  • Creates audit reports for management updates
  • Builds positive relationships and cooperates with different departments to increase payroll service performance and improve upon processes and procedures

  • Ability to work independently and to conduct assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to build trust and rapport across all levels
  • Quick learner · Sound judgment and critical thinking
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Reliable and deadline-oriented (follow-through)
  • Excellent computer proficiency, including MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and HRIS a must
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function
  • Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and pivot on priorities when necessary What's on Offer
