    Description

    We are hiring an Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee our Mark Collins facility. This position will work with other members of leadership to keep a strategic focus on the warehouse to ensure it is up to code, including handling building maintenance inspections and looking at safety codes, new design layouts, and procedures. This full-time salaried position will report to the Warehouse Manager.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Uphold WSI global standards in safety, condition, count, and time.
    • Enforce productivity standards for all roles.
    • Utilize the Business Partnership Model to drive mutual expectations and standards.
    • Recognize the wins, engage with the team, and listen and ask for their feedback.
    • Provide excellent communication both internally & externally in a timely fashion.
    • Ability to proactively problem-solve and escalate appropriate issues to the different departments.
    • Be committed to servicing future growth positively and productively.
    • Embrace available technology and automation opportunities to improve performance and customer experience.
    • Manage safety-related documents and training required for each employee and the area covered.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory ordinances.
    • Safeguard warehouse and contents by monitoring security procedures and making any needed modifications.
    • Supply the basic materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure employees can perform their roles.
    • Support a LEAN culture as our company continues through process improvements and measurements.
    • Oversee new hire orientation for all employees and keep ongoing employee training updated.
    • Assist operations by coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies/procedures.
    • Verify the schedules and specific assignments of employees and follow up on work results.
    • Help to maintain warehouse staffing by assisting in recruiting and selecting new candidates.
    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and also contribute in a team environment.
    • Applicants must have proficient reading, writing, and basic math skills.
    • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Education level of an Associates or Bachelor's degree.
    • Must have at least 10 years logistics and warehousing experience with 5 years in a leadership position
    PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
    • Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
    • Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
