Scrip Companies is a distributor of chiropractic, massage, physical therapy and consumer home health supplies. We are searching for an Outbound Warehouse Manager to add to our Distribution Team. This role is an active one
- you will be on the warehouse floor most of the day supervising and assisting the warehouse team. This role regularly requires you to step in to assist employees in different roles


SUMMARY:

Manages and coordinates all Outbound warehouse activities, operations, and staff to ensure that we meet and exceed our daily goals, ensures conformance to established procedures; implements best practices that improve efficiencies and effectiveness to meet our financial and operational goals.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Hands on role
  • Manages all outbound warehouse activities in support of the operation, including but not limited to, storage, picking, packing and shipping materials.
  • Assists in reviewing, analyzing, modifying, and assists in implementing efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains strict and accurate inventory control.
  • Ensures accurate and timely shipments.
  • Performance tracking, Department Metrics, goals and KPIs.
  • Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace.
  • Maintains accurate records and metrics, audits as necessary.
  • Leads physical inventories; provides inventory support and reports.
  • Establishes and maintains professional communication with vendors, employees and contractors.
  • Monitors, operates and manages within department budget.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems within department.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops warehouse staff; manages schedules and workflow.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Performance Management
  • Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; ensures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
  • Provides daytoday guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with Manager and HR as necessary to address, coach or issue disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Directly supervises 35 employees within the department.
  • Indirectly supervises 9 employees during the Inbound Manager's absence.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; time card management and time off approvals.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Associate or bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) preferred or 7+ years related experience.
  • Strong inventory control skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic competence in subordinates' duties and tasks.
  • Strong organizational, problemsolving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

  • Proficient on ERP and WMS systems.
