- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Conducts financial report analysis and cost control related to Distribution Center operations.
- Implement detailed schedules to ensure targeted deadlines are met.
- Accountable for coordinating with various internal departments (i.e., accounting, sales, and marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Supervises, trains, provides guidance, assigns duties, reviews, and assists team members (in a union environment).
- Assists staff in completing daily duties in a timely manner as necessary. Duties may include order processing, shipping related tasks, and record keeping.
- Resolve problems, completes audits, identifies trends, and reports important or otherwise relevant operations information and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures that comply with company and legal regulations.
- Oversee quality, safety, and certification programs including AIB.
- Lead weekly and monthly operations meetings.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or related field.
- 2-5 years Distribution Center operations experience preferred.
- Experience working or supervising in a union environment is a plus.
- Advanced MS Office proficiency.
- Able to work various shifts to train or backup management when required with overtime as needed.
- Limited travel may be required.
