- Responsible for overseeing payroll operations including processing, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and third party payments
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all payroll taxes, garnishments, tax reconciliations, and required reporting
- Own ADP WF Now Payroll module(s) and troubleshoot all payroll issues with internal payroll team
- Manage a team of professionals with day-to-day tasks and strategic projects to continue to develop ADP into a confident source of record for the company.
- Benefits reconciliation based on per pay period reporting to assist in accurate billing expense to the company. Work collaboratively with Benefits Team on problem resolution on file feeds, funding, and more.
- Manage and mentor payroll team
- Advises and takes action on setup of new entities and expansion into new locations
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws and internal policies
- Respond to audit requests and manage payroll tax audits
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports by fully leveraging reporting capabilities
- Research and resolve payroll issues with vendors and/or employees in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities to drive consistency in payroll across entities
- Ensure payroll documentation is updated and accurate as well as team SOP's
- Provide support across the HR Operations team in various capacities such as benefits, HR compliance and reporting
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance teams
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Human Resources preferred; extensive hands on payroll and HR systems management experienced required
- Minimum of 10 years leading payroll in a multi-state entity
- Strong payroll and tax expertise
- ADP WF Now experience required; ADP Time and Attendance for timekeeping is helpful; other system experience with an adept learning ability to find efficiencies with embracing system functionality
- Prior management experience with a lens of development, encouragement while standardizing processes.
- CPM or CPP highly preferred
- Must have a strong working knowledge of Excel
- Working knowledge of tax regulation and tax reporting in all states and locals.
- Ability to collaborate with relevant stakeholders across HRIS team, benefits, and across the business

Our client is seeking a Payroll Manager to play a critical management role in ownership for all aspects of payroll processing (ADP WF Now & ADP Time and Attendance) for their growing multi-state/multi-entity organization. The position is responsible for the preparation, audit, documentation, and end-to-end processing of payroll, and ensures that all processes are compliant with federal, state, and local agencies. You must be methodical and analytical in administering payroll duties, use your deep knowledge of regulations. This role serves as the center of the Payroll CoE and will supervise the payroll team. The right candidate will bring deep payroll and tax knowledge, and a strong background in analytics and reporting.
