    Description

    Position summary:
    #Provides care to patients suffering from mental illness and developmental disabilities. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients and assists with daily living skills as needed. Observes patient behavior, evaluates patient condition, and updates clinical notes accordingly. Prepares and dispenses medicines per physician#s orders. Leads patients in therapeutic and recreational activities. May perform other duties as assigned.

    State of California Licensure as a Psychiatric Technician


    EDUCATION:
    High school or equivalent


    CERTIFICATION:
    #BLS; AB 508 certification


    EXPERIENCE:
    One (1) year of experience effectively working with therapeutic interventions for patients with behavioral/mental illness. Must have effective written communication skills and an ability to write cogent progress notes and reports. $ $33.03 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.#
