Job Description and Duties

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :

Provides basic andgeneral behavioral training and implements procedures and techniques that areused in the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals withdevelopmental disability in a resident setting following established standards,policies and procedures and federal and state licensing regulations. Thisposition requires that the incumbent work cooperatively with others,demonstrate good judgment, and maintain consistent, regular and reliableattendance.

ESSENTIALDUTIES: Follow safe practices,and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment which ensures respect, dignityand protects privacy rights, confidentiality and physical/emotional well-beingof all individuals. Must be able to work overtime and various shifts aswell as float to other worksites. Will be required to work weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions

On-going interaction with residents. Potential exposure tocommunicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, medicinal preparations and otherconditions common to a clinical nursing environment. Will be required to work weekends and Holidays.
