    Description
    Our client in the autonomous driving vehicle space, is looking for a Platform Engineering Systems Engineer.

    This person will be involved in creating systems that handle large data volumes and facilitate data processing pipelines for compute-intensive tasks on both CPUs and GPUs.

    Your expertise will contribute to crafting efficient processes and tooling, enabling Zoox to efficiently scale specialized workloads across on-premises and cloud environments to support their self-driving vehicle service.


    Responsibilities:
    Designing and developing the clients IT infrastructure platform
    Engaging in all stages of service rollout and system design to ensure robustness and ease of maintenance and operation
    Serving as an escalation point for service incidents


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience
    Proficiency in automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and SDLC utilizing tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Git, and Mercurial
    Experience in configuring and maintaining Linux/Unix applications, including web servers, load balancers, storage systems, and databases
    Proficiency in higher-level programming languages, particularly Python
    Familiarity with virtualization technologies and tools such as KVM, Docker, or LXC
    Strong Linux administration skills


    Nice to have:
    Experience with AWS, ECS, Kubernetes
    Familiarity with ELK stack
    Proficiency in TCP/IP network fundamentals

    Expected hourly pay range

    $60- $68

    Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
