    Job Description:
    Southern Electronics is a 90-year-old technology company headquartered in New Orleans. We are looking for an energetic, experienced, career minded individual looking for an opportunity with a great company. You and an assistant will perform all aspects of our company purchasing process and the functions to support it. This position is essential for our company's day-to-day operations. The purchasing manager and their assistant will work closely with various members of our sales and operations staff. Unlike many procurement positions, this one will not involve having to put out RFQ's or RFP's. Vendors will have already been chosen by management or sales staff. The department processes purchase orders for product already sold to customers and stock replenishment orders. The ideal candidate must be very detail oriented, a good communicator, and able to maintain organized records. Accuracy and follow up is a must. Only serious and qualified applicants need to apply.

    Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
    ·

    Confirm new purchase orders are accurate and submitted in accordance with our vendor's requirements.
    ·

    Ensure that purchase orders are processed in a timely manner and expedite orders when necessary.
    ·

    Work with vendors and sales to maintain system pricing files and special requirements from manufacturers.
    ·

    Handle vendor returns and process credit memos.
    ·

    Monitor for vendor or sales inaccuracies and work with salespeople or the Director of Logistics to correct.
    ·

    Submit monthly rebates and POS reporting to manufacturers.
    ·

    Work to resolve incorrect vendor orders/shipments.
    ·

    Sync proper pricing between our website and internal system.
    ·

    Assist with creation or deletion of new products or product lines.


    Minimum Requirements:
    Must have a precise attention to detail and ability to retain information.
    Must have purchasing and supply chain experience
    Must have good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and be capable of sitting at desk/computer for extended periods
    Must have experience providing customer service to vendors and customers
    Must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines
    Must be proficient in Excel and have experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Teams
    High school diploma or equivalent
    AS400/Power 9 experience a plus.

    Full-time, No nights or weekends

    Salary:
    Based on experience with potential for annual bonus.

    Experience:
    Accounting degree and purchasing experience preferred
