    The Equipment Engineering Technician 3 is part of the Equipment Life Cycle Management team for the Hayward site.

    This individual is responsible for maintaining compliance and performing calibration and preventive maintenance activities on equipment used in an instrument production environment.

    This individual will work in a dynamic team-oriented environment that supports multiple operations and technologies helping Illumina deliver its highly complex product pipeline in a reliable and sustainable manner.

    The Equipment Engineering Technician 3 also works with relevant departments to ensure successful implementation of quality systems and communicates the impact of changes to areas affected to ensure that the changes are integrated into day to day operations.

    Manage program for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment/tools used in instrument production environment
    Perform calibration and maintenance activities on or before due date to written work instructions
    Interface with service providers to coordinate onsite activities and inputs to/reporting from hosted software solution
    Complete shipping requests for sending equipment out for service as needed
    Review and recommend changes to existing calibration and maintenance procedures and engineering specifications
    Receiving new equipment due to onboarding and labeling
    Assisting in equipment inventory investigations and resolutions
    Generating reports and completing special projects
    Complete tasks with minimal supervision and report/track progress through a digital ticketing system.
    3+ years of experience as an Equipment Technician, preferably in biotech or medical device industry
    ~ Understanding and working knowledge in calibration and preventative maintenance activities
    ~ Must have computer skills and competent in Microsoft Office applications
    ~ Minimum travel may be required.
    ~ Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    ~ Solid experience with MRP/ERP databases.
    ~ Associate degree in science or engineering related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    The estimated base hourly range for the Equipment Engineering Technician 3 role based in the United States of America is:
    $31.Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
